Job Overview
At RTX, the world’s largest aerospace and defense company, we are seeking a highly skilled Service Now Senior Technical Lead to support and lead the delivery of Service Now solutions. This role collaborates with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Architects and stakeholders to drive business value while promoting development best practices across multiple agile squads.
Responsibilities- Provide technical oversight and support across all areas of the RTX Service Now platform.
- Ensure solutions are built in accordance with best practices and RTX governance, compliance, and organizational standards.
- Serve as the U.S.
-based Senior Service Now Technical Lead, providing resolution and guidance on complex technical issues. - Guide integration between Service Now and other enterprise systems (e.g., Workday, Salesforce).
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts and Architects to review requirements and implement design recommendations.
- Support upgrades, patches and health checks to ensure sustained performance and stability of the platform.
- Stay current on Service Now platform updates, new features and industry trends; proactively propose enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience) with 10+ years of extensive hands‑on experience in design, development and delivery of Service Now solutions in a global environment.
- Deep Service Now technical expertise including custom application development and scripting across ITSM, ITOM/ITAM, HRSD, Accounts Payable, integrations and portal.
- Strong collaboration skills with all organizational levels including leadership, Product Managers, Business Analysts, Architects and stakeholders.
- Leadership experience mentoring technical teams, supporting code peer reviews, and advocating best practices.
- Advanced proficiency in scripting languages used within Service Now (JavaScript, Glide Script, Angular).
- Experience with Virtual Agent, Agent Workspace, UI Builder, Flow Designer and Platform Analytics.
- Extensive experience with REST/SOAP integrations and scripted REST APIs.
- Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- Service Now Certified Application Developer (CAD)
- Certified Implementation Specialist – ITSM or HRSD
- ITIL Foundation certification
- Experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or other Agile development methodology.
Remote (U.S. based); required to work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. Territories). The position offers a salary range of $132,400 – $251,600 per year.
