Quality Assurance Analyst

• Create and maintain test cases tied to acceptance criteria and real user flows
• Prioritize testing by risk to protect the highest-impact paths first
• Execute manual tests and log dev-ready defects with clear reproduction steps and data
• Validate data using basic SQL queries, joins, and filters
• Flag requirements gaps and reject unclear stories early
• Partner with Project Managers and Business Analysts to clarify customer requirements
• Establish lightweight QA guardrails for test-case storage, writing, and maintenance
• Improve UAT cycles, reduce rework, and improve signal quality
• Publish metrics including coverage, escaped defects on covered flows, and UAT cycle time
• Build an initial backlog of high-ROI automation candidates
• Achieve predictable, measurable QA on assigned projects within 60–90 days
• Reduce escaped defects and accelerate UAT turnaround
• Improve early requirements clarity and reduce thin stories entering testing
• Drive adoption of shared QA templates and consistent test artifacts
• Produce a ranked automation-candidate list with impact notes

• ~3+ years of QA experience across the SDLC in fast-moving teams
• Strong test design and risk-based prioritization
• Clear, concise communication with Developers, Project Managers, and Business Analysts
• Healthy EQ and respectful professional pushback
• SQL proficiency for data validation and sanity checks
• Bias for simple, repeatable process over heroics
• Some customer assignments may require additional eligibility, vetting, or access approvals based on contract, security, or regulatory requirements

Demonstrates expertise in QA processes, including test case creation, risk-based prioritization, and SQL data validation. Capable of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams to enhance requirements clarity and improve UAT cycles.
