Compensation: Hourly pay rate $15.29–$22.88 per hour, plus annual incentive/commission target of $15,348.00. Eligible for variable total compensation of $51,072, with top earners reaching $66,099 annually.
Cox Communications is looking for a Retail Sales Associate who creates memorable customer experiences and drives sales. The role includes evening, weekend, and holiday shifts, and reporting to Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager.
Responsibilities- Explain and demonstrate product capabilities and offer suggestions based on customer wants and needs.
- Meet or exceed targets regarding customer experience, sales, and retention.
- Assist with the opening and closing of the store retail environment.
- Properly handle cash transactions.
- Engage in workshops, special events, and product demos.
- Support fellow sales agents when needed.
- Continuously expand knowledge of current Cox products and competitor offerings through regular training.
- May be required to work at other locations in the same geographic area.
- High school diploma, GED, or up to 2 years relevant work experience.
- Ability to meet established sales, retention, and customer experience targets.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for consultative, solutions‑based selling.
- Ability to build relationships and adapt to a diverse customer base.
- Ability to multi‑task and prioritize in a fast‑paced team environment.
- Ability to be mobile within the store for long periods to greet customers and demonstrate products.
- Computer literacy with aptitude for learning communication products and services.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Ability to lift 25–50 pounds for stock room inventory.
- Some college experience focused on sales, business, or management.
- One year of experience in a related field (sales, retail, service industry).
- Experience selling wireless or mobile products.
- Fluency in Spanish, both written and spoken.
