Sales Consultant

Job Summary

The Sales Associate is responsible for selling La‑Z‑Boy products and services, achieving store sales goals, and maintaining customer trust and loyalty through high‑quality customer service.

• Training Pay: $22.00 per hour for 2 weeks (no commission)
• Base Pay after training: $45,864 (salary)
• Unlimited commission: 6% to 7.5% on individual written sales, uncapped
• Average annual earnings after training: $60,000 – $90,000
• Weekly hours: 40

• Interact with customers professionally, providing the highest level of customer service
• Drive sales by contributing to store sales goals through selling furniture, accessories, and services
• Complete all sales paperwork and customer service issues promptly
• Attend and participate in company training and store meetings
• Assist in training, coaching, and developing new peers on product knowledge and selling processes
• Accurately complete order information, collect deposits and fees, maintain orderly customer records, and research customer payments and deliveries
• Follow company policies and procedures, including those against harassment, attendance, sales policies, and customer interaction
• Perform a minimum number of house calls to customer homes
• Maintain a sales average consistent with company standards
• Meet minimum transportation requirements to drive to customer homes

• High School diploma or GED
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate, build rapport, and influence positively
• Vocational or technical training in relevant field (if applicable)
• Ability to bend, lift, and stand for long periods
• Reliable transportation for customer visits

• Previous selling experience and strong closing ability
• Organizational and problem‑solving skills
• Computer literacy and ability to use technology for sales

• Bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods
• Interaction with customers and coworkers requiring concentration and focus
