US Navy Oceanography Officers (METOC) are the Navy’s geophysical experts who understand meteorology, oceanography, hydrography, and related sciences to define and apply the physical environment from the ocean bottom to the stars.
You will lead environmental data collection, processing, prediction, and dissemination for fleet and joint operations, supervise teams from small detachments to large commands, and serve as the one‑of‑one geophysical expert at an operational command.
