Job Title
Incumbents operate light-construction and maintenance equipment in the maintenance, repair, and alteration of City streets, drainage, sidewalks, curbs, gutters, and other facilities. Incumbents also perform semi-skilled and unskilled manual labor, and other projects as assigned. Incumbent may also operate heavy duty construction and maintenance equipment based on operational needs appropriate to the incumbent's license. The Transportation Streets Division consist of several crews:
Asphalt/Crack Seal/Seal Coat, Concrete, Right of Ways, and Street Sweeping.
High school diploma or GED, and two years of experience operating light-duty construction and/or maintenance equipment. Additional education cannot be substituted for experience.
Certifications, Licenses, RegistrationsMust have and be able to maintain a valid Arizona Commercial Driver License (CDL), Class B or higher. Must have and be able to maintain a valid DOT Medical Certification Card. Ability to obtain and maintain ATSSA Flagger and ATSSA Traffic Control Technician within one year of hire.
