Automotive Technician, Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic
This position will be scheduled approximately 29-hours per week
SUMMARYIncumbents perform journey-level repairs and maintenance on a wide variety of automotive and small equipment; and assist Fleet Technicians II and Fleet Technicians III with general repairs and maintenance on a variety of diverse equipment and vehicles such as solid waste vehicles, construction equipment, fire apparatus, bucket trucks, and others.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or GED, and two years of automotive or heavy truck servicing, maintenance, and repair experience OR completion of an accredited automotive or diesel training program at a trade school or community college. Additional education cannot be substituted for experience.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS- Must have at the time of hire and be able to maintain a valid Arizona Driver License.
- Must have at time of hire EPA 609 A/C Refrigerant Handlers card (or obtain within 6 months of hire)
