Your Mission

Under the supervision of the Director of Life Enrichment, the Life Enrichment Assistant collaborates with team members to coordinate, implement, and direct recreational, educational, or therapeutic activity programs that assists residents in developing Creative Living keystone offerings. This includes intellectual, physical, social, and recreational opportunities, and further assists in building interpersonal relationships, social skills, and confidence to participate in group activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meets and interacts with all the residents.
  • Performs clerical tasks:
    Typing, record keeping, correspondence, and filing.
  • Keeps track of deadlines for shows, trips, and appointments.
  • In collaboration with the Director and/or Coordinator; writes, creates, and posts flyers and special announcements.
  • Assists with development and finished product of the monthly newsletter.
  • Use of car to run necessary errands.
  • Operates A/V equipment to broadcast movies through the designated cable channel and the projector.
  • Works with certain resident committees and volunteers to accomplish goals.
  • Accompanies residents on certain trips and theater outings.
  • Develops and follows through on specific projects designated by Director and LE Coordinator.
  • Coordinate and host all special events, including holiday events. Decorate community according to current holiday or event.
  • Collaborates with other departments to ensure excellent customer service for the residents.
  • Purchases and initiates ideas for decorations.
  • Takes charge of craft and other creative areas when necessary.
  • Performs other duties deemed necessary by the Director.
  • Covers for weekend and evening programs as needed.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year experience in recreational activity programs-Preferred
  • Experience working in the senior population-Preferred
  • Good written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Efficient in adhering to deadlines.
  • Possess basic math and proof-reading skills.
  • Creative in decorating for events and other activities.
  • Must be organized, dependable, able to multitask and willing to take on extra responsibility.
  • Must be customer-oriented and friendly.
  • REQUIRED-Possess current, or has ability to obtain, the following:
    • Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
    • Food handler's card
    • CPR certification
    • ADOT certification
