Behavior Coach/Interventionist
Behavior Coach/Interventionist will support students with behavioral and emotional disabilities in a 36-week contract in Surprise, Arizona. The role involves implementing behavior intervention plans and collaborating with educators to improve student outcomes. Compensation is up to $52 per hour based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans
- Conduct functional behavior assessments
- Collaborate with teachers and parents to monitor progress
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation
- Document student behavior data and progress
- Participate in team meetings to review intervention strategies
- Maintain compliance with state regulations and licensing requirements
- Conduct training sessions for school staff
- Support classroom environment to promote positive behavior
- Adapt interventions based on ongoing assessment
- Bachelor's Degree (BA) in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Behavioral Science, or Applied Behavior Analysis
- Bachelor's Degree (BA) in educational/special education with five years of experience working with students with behavioral and emotional disabilities
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI) certification
- Valid driver's license (front and back)
- Valid Arizona Identity (IVP)
- Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Social Security Card
- Minimum 1 year of experience in behavior intervention and working with students with behavioral and emotional disabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work days in a school setting
- Physical ability to handle dynamic classroom environments
- Premium pay: weekly direct deposit, 13% above market average
