Behavior Coach/Interventionist will support students with behavioral and emotional disabilities in a 36‑week contract in Surprise, Arizona. The role involves implementing behavior intervention plans and collaborating with educators to improve student outcomes. Compensation is up to $52 per hour based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans
Conduct functional behavior assessments
Collaborate with teachers and parents to monitor progress
Provide crisis intervention and de‑escalation
Document student behavior data and progress
Participate in team meetings to review intervention strategies
Maintain compliance with state regulations and licensing requirements
Conduct training sessions for school staff
Support classroom environment to promote positive behavior
Adapt interventions based on ongoing assessment
Bachelor's Degree (BA) in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Behavioral Science, or Applied Behavior Analysis
Bachelor's Degree (BA) in educational/special education with five years of experience working with students with behavioral and emotional disabilities
Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI) certification
Valid driver’s license (front and back)
Valid Arizona Identity (IVP)
Fingerprint Clearance Card
Social Security Card
Minimum 1 year of experience in behavior intervention and working with students with behavioral and emotional disabilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work days in a school setting
Physical ability to handle dynamic classroom environments
