Become a Service Writer with Surrey Police Service, focusing on vehicle maintenance scheduling and minor repairs. This comprehensive role enhances both technical skills and administrative functions.
Operating within the Corporate Services Bureau, you'll be instrumental in coordinating repairs and services for the fleet under the guidance of the Fleet Manager. You are expected to manage a computerized vehicle maintenance system, ensuring accurate records and effective communication with vendors. Experience in both administrative and physical aspects of vehicle maintenance is essential for success in this full-time position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Schedule and manage vehicle repairs using a computerized system
• Monitor and update maintenance records effectively
• Assess and prioritize incoming repair requests
• Conduct mechanical investigations in a hands-on capacity
• Generate work orders and assist staff as needed
Requirements:
• Completion of relevant post-secondary education
• Minimum two years’ experience in Fleet Services
• Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License and safe driving record
• Required police security clearance and polygraph examination
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
