Our Ideal CandidateWe are currently looking for an Intermediate Document Control Specialist to join our Vancouver team. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for document control, distribution of documents, retrieval and filing of all project documents, and other related duties as directed by the Document Control Group Lead and is accountable to Project Managers for meeting scheduled deadlines. The location is flexible.
ADay in the Life
- Work for multiple clients with varying requirements
- Quality check incoming and outgoing documents, in accordance with Allnorth’s QMS and client procedures
- Assist disciplines with understanding of internal and client document control requirements
- Attend project meetings as required
- Keep other personnel updated on new document versions and how to obtain access
- Handle records across various departments
- Create templates for use by other personnel
- Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive documents
- A diploma, degree, or certificate in an applicable field is an asset, but not required
- 3-5 years’ experience working with engineering and vendor documents
- A solid understanding of document life cycles, revision control, and overall document control best practices
- Worked in various Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS)
- Effective, professional communication with other departments, clients, and vendors
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and Bluebeam Revu
- Attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a schedule-driven environment with shifting priorities
- A willingness to learn from a team of experienced document controllers
