OVERVIEWWe are looking for an Account Director who will use inter‑personnal skills and a network to generate new business opportunities while managing a portfolio of existing clients. The role involves leading the management of fast‑growing companies with revenue between $3 and $50 million and complex, significant credit needs. You will guide these dynamic firms toward success by providing financial support and strategic advice.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Meet entrepreneurs to understand their business needs and challenges and provide advice and, where appropriate, BDC service offers to support growth.
- Execute an action plan aligned with the centre’s goals to ensure existing client growth and loyalty while securing new clients and building a pipeline of opportunities.
- Review, negotiate, and present financing proposals while exercising credit judgement.
- Engage in the local business community by networking within your existing COI network to develop business relationships and obtain referrals that facilitate new client acquisition.
- Bachelor’s degree in commerce or business administration.
- 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in commercial banking/finance and a keen understanding of the business world.
- Strong financial expertise and experience analyzing financial statements.
- Demonstrated business development skills and achievement of set goals.
- Clients and professional contacts recall you because your advice works and you provide exceptional customer service.
- Team player who builds lasting, trusted relationships with peers, business contacts, and external partners.
- Strong negotiator focused on results.
- English speaking; bilingual French is an asset.
