The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of account management experience in grocery , ideally with a strong background in fresh food with a track record of success with major retail accounts.
Responsibilities
Lead and grow key retail accounts, building strong customer relationships and delivering profitable sales growth
Develop and execute joint business plans, pricing strategies, promotional calendars, and sales initiatives aligned with retailer objectives and company priorities
Identify new opportunities, secure new listings, and expand distribution within national and large-format retail banners
Support and participate in quarterly business reviews, assortment presentations, category review discussions, and new product opportunities with retail partners
Analyze sales performance, market trends, and retailer insights to identify growth opportunities and improve account results
Manage forecasting, trade spend, credits, deductions, understanding of supply and inventory planning
Act as the primary day-to-day contact for retail customers, ensuring strong service, issue resolution, and cross-functional alignment
Represent Sunrise Farms at retailer meetings, trade shows, conventions, and industry events, as required
Various projects, as required
Requirements
5+ years of account management experience in grocery, ideally with a strong background in fresh food categories
Experience managing large retail accounts across grocery channels, with a focus on national retailers
Strong strategic thinking, business acumen, and problem‑solving skills
Excellent planning, organization, and attention to detail; ability to operate well within a dynamic, fast‑paced environment
Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, set objectives, and deliver results in a fast‑paced environment
Strong collaboration skills with customers, suppliers, brokers, and cross-functional internal teams
Strong communication, relationship‑building, and influencing skills
Ability to prepare and deliver business reviews, category presentations, and strategic recommendations
Post‑secondary education in Business, Sales, Commerce, or a related field
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and AI‑enabled productivity tools
Experience with ERP and CRM systems for customer management, forecasting, and reporting
Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle
$120,000 - $150,000 a year
