PositionSummary
The Project Manager is responsible for day-to-day execution control across incoming work and active priorities. This role focuses on tactical coordination: gathering requests, tracking actions, following up with owners, and ensuring the execution stays organized. The Project Manager acts as a central coordination point between Operations and the Enterprise Engineering Division (END) team to help improve responsiveness and keep work moving.
This role requires a high level of collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.
No direct reports, but will collaborate frequently with department personnel to provide task and schedule instructions.
Key Responsibilities- Administer department‑defined project management systems to execute projects/tasks
- Support department KPIs by tracking and reporting data for assigned projects
- Develop skills and competencies based on guidance from the Program Manager and other department leaders
- Focus on identifying and cultivating continuous improvement opportunities and advocating for resources needed to achieve them
- Serve as a main point of contact for incoming requests from Operations and other stakeholders.
- Capture, organize, clarify, and track day‑to‑day work requests.
- Maintain trackers, schedules, action logs, and execution dashboards.
- Run daily/weekly coordination cadences to review priorities, blockers, and due dates.
- Escalate risks, bottlenecks, and missed commitments early.
- Help enforce the workflows and tools established by the Department Leadership.
- Lead department personnel in the execution of specific projects and serve as the primary contact to liaison between other departments
- Provide insights, summaries, and/or flags regarding project status and risk or blockers to the Program Manager and other stakeholders
- Collaborate with various personnel and managers to collect information and consolidate into a single source (dashboards, schedules, etc)
- Schedule meetings with discrete agendas, take detailed minutes, and follow up with action items
- Other duties as assigned that lead to the optimization of Department procedures
- Strong ability to triage, plan, execute, and oversee projects, ensuring they are completed on time and conform to company standards
- Knowledge of program management tools and techniques to effectively track, manage, and report on project progress
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Self‑directed, takes initiative, and maintains progress despite obstacles or ambiguity.
- Capable of managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Aptitude for implementing and supporting process improvement initiatives.
- Awareness of business and management principles regarding strategic planning, resource and coordination of people and resources.
- Highly organized and able to impose order on systems and related personnel.
- Able to assess situations and independently propose steps towards a solution.
- Strong preference for 4 years post‑secondary education, preferably in STEM or Business Administration
- Minimum 3 years of experience in administrative or project management or related field, preferably within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar certification achieved or in process
