Overview

We’re searching for a Data Analyst . Westland Insurance Group Ltd is growing and has an exciting opportunity for a Data Analyst to join our growing team. This hybrid role is based out of our Head Office in Surrey, BC .

Expected Compensation: The expected hiring range for this role is $62,400 - $78,000 with a 37.5-hour work week. Your rate of pay will be determined based on your individual qualifications and experience, while considering internal equity.

Qualifications
  • You strive to understand the data and love seeking ways to improve the quality of the data and reporting
  • You enjoy collaborating with others to identify and prioritize use cases for analysis and build out models to answer business questions
  • You love numbers and have a strong background in math, statistics or equivalent such as a bachelor’s degree in those areas or related fields
  • You can translate complex information and findings for business leaders
  • At least two years’ experience in a data analytics role
  • Previous experience with data analysis and modeling using SQL, R, and Python
  • Bonus:
    Experience in P&C insurance
  • Bonus:
    Experience using data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake or Microsoft Fabric
  • Bonus:
    Experience with Git based version control on platforms such as Git Hub or Azure Dev Ops
