As a Communications Practicum Student, you will support Phoenix Society’s mission by gathering and crafting stories that showcase its impact.
This role offers crucial experience for students in Communications, Journalism, or Social Work who aim to use their skills for community betterment and stigma reduction. Under supervision, you'll learn ethical storytelling approaches and engage with a diverse range of clients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct interviews and transcribe findings
• Write stories for newsletters and digital media
• Develop creative posts for social media platforms
• Curate an organized storytelling database
• Assist in content creation for annual reports
Requirements:
• Current student in a relevant field
• Strong storytelling and writing abilities
• Empathetic communication style with others
• Comfort with social media strategies
• Exposure to photography or video editing is a plus
