The Assistant News Editor will support the News Editor in generating story ideas and contributing at least two written pieces each issue. This role involves fact-checking content alongside fellow team members and covering important AMS meetings. You'll need strong communication skills and a commitment to ethical journalism.
Key Responsibilities:
• Generate news story ideas with the News Editor
• Write a minimum of two news stories per issue
• Collaborate on fact-checking with team members
• Cover AMS Assembly and Board meetings
• Uphold company policies and ethical standards
