Summary
Reporting to the Plant Controller, the Sr. Financial Analyst will assist with the preparation and development of financial reviews and forecasts, including monthly financial reporting, bi-annual forecasts, annual operating budgets, and long-term strategic growth plans. The role focuses on process optimization and documentation, collecting and reviewing information on alcohol usage, production, costs, budgeting, tax reporting, accounts payable, and supporting the Plant as a finance resource.
KeyAccountabilities
- Assist in preparation of monthly financial review, create reports and presentation slides, identify unusual items or single‑occurrence financials, and follow up on questions.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and research issues.
- Build dynamic Excel models and automate repetitive tasks.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting, interpret, compile, and load data submissions from other departments.
- Perform data mining for ad‑hoc analyses and communicate findings to business management across functional teams.
- Participate in systems implementation, data validation, and process re‑engineering activities.
- Prepare transparent and concise documentation.
- Create purchase orders for Viscount as needed.
- Follow up on Open Text issues with assigned plants, escalating unresolved issues to the manager.
- Report and follow up on past‑due POs or POs without GR/IR, ensuring compliance with the GRIR policy.
- Follow up on late‑paying POs and invoices.
- Prepare assigned journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations for month‑end.
- Review billings and invoices, resolving issues such as unjustified late charges, over‑charging, and currency payment errors.
- Assist with month‑end close as needed.
- Track and reconcile alcohol delivery/receiving and follow up discrepancies until resolved.
- Complete all alcohol production and inventory trackers on a timely basis.
- Reconcile alcohol inventory, production, and full goods.
- Prepare monthly Excise Tax report for all levels of government.

- Experience with ERP, SAP systems, and Open Text functionality.
- Demonstrated continuous improvement in previous roles.
- Ability to multi‑task and work in an organized, detailed manner under tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of financial accounting systems, procedures, and industry practices.
- Financial analysis skills: identify information needed to prepare and validate analysis, interpret and draw conclusions from financial data, and recognize trends and patterns.
- University degree in Finance or Accounting required; CPA and/or Master’s degree desired.
- 2–5 years of prior experience in a similar finance position in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to work across organizations and functional teams.
- Ability to manage projects and resources, both internal and external clients.
- Active exposure to cost‑saving development or initiatives.

- Pay range: $95,373.00 – $ CAD, plus eligibility for performance‑based bonuses.
