This full-time role emphasizes underwriting expertise and strategic problem-solving to deliver optimal mortgage solutions. You will partner closely with the Team Lead, enhancing your skills in credit analysis while navigating complex mortgage scenarios.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed risk assessments of client applications

• Strategically structure complex mortgage files for approval

• Proactively negotiate with lender underwriters to ensure success

• Maintain expertise in lender products and policies

• Review Mortgage Commitments for accuracy before client presentation

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of mortgage underwriting experience

• Proven expertise with complex borrower scenarios

• Advanced knowledge of GDS/TDS calculations

• Familiarity with mortgage platforms like Expert, Finmo

• Strong compliance understanding, including AML and FINTRAC
