Our client is seeking a strategic and hands‑on Senior Manager of FP&A to join their Finance & Accounting team. This is a newly elevated role that reflects the company’s investment in strengthening its financial planning and analytics capabilities to support long‑term growth.
In this highly visible position, you will work closely with the Controller and senior leadership team to build and enhance budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and business performance reporting processes. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance leader who enjoys partnering across the organization, translating complex financial information into actionable insights, and driving meaningful business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead financial planning:
Own the annual budgeting process, rolling forecasts, and long‑range financial planning activities across multiple business units. - Develop financial models:
Build scenario analyses to assess strategic initiatives, operational changes, investment opportunities, and business growth initiatives. - Drive business performance reporting:
Develop executive‑level KPI dashboards, management reporting packages, and detailed analysis to identify performance trends, risks, and opportunities. - Support strategic decision‑making:
Partner with leadership to provide financial insights related to profitability, investments, pricing strategies, operational improvements, and growth initiatives. - Enhance operational analytics:
Analyze key business drivers, including margins, costs, working capital, and operational performance metrics to support better decision‑making. - Collaborate cross‑functionally:
Act as a trusted finance partner to leadership and departments across the organization to improve financial understanding and accountability. - Support continuous improvement:
Establish scalable FP&A processes, improve reporting capabilities, and help strengthen the overall finance function.
- 8+ years of progressive finance experience, including 3+ years in FP&A leadership, financial planning, or strategic finance roles.
- CPA designation (CPA, CA, CPA, CMA, or CPA, CGA) preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced education is considered an asset.
- Strong expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning.
- Advanced understanding of P&L management, balance sheet drivers, cash flow forecasting, and business performance analysis.
- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to develop sophisticated financial models.
- Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar mid‑market platforms preferred.
- Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence and reporting tools is considered an asset.
- Experience working within multi‑entity environments and supporting complex business operations is preferred.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to present insights to senior leadership.
- Self‑motivated individual who thrives in a lean, fast‑paced environment with a high degree of ownership and accountability.
