Horizon Recruitment is recruiting for a Senior Financial Analyst to support a growing software business with stronger financial planning, reporting, and decision support. This role will work closely with senior leaders to turn financial data into clear insights that support budgeting, forecasting, KPI tracking, and investment decisions. This is a hybrid 3 month contract role based in Surrey, BC, with two days per week in the office - there is an opportunity for a longer term engagement.
Responsibilities- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting across multiple finance systems
- Prepare financial reports, KPI dashboards, and variance analysis for leadership
- Present financial results and explain key business drivers to management
- Partner with business teams to improve data accuracy and resolve reporting issues
- Build and maintain financial models for revenue, expenses, ROI, and business cases
- Support scenario planning and “what if” analysis for key decisions
- Act as a local financial systems super user
- Help improve BI tools, GL consolidation, reporting, and analytics processes
- Model investment decisions and provide practical recommendations
- Support a collaborative and inclusive team culture
- Degree or equivalent qualification in finance, accounting, or a related field
- CPA or working toward CPA is preferred
- 5+ years of finance experience
- Strong FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis skills
- Experience with finance system consolidation and BI tools
- Experience with HFM, PBCS, or MSBC is an asset
- Advanced financial modelling and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work with senior stakeholders
- High attention to detail and strong ownership of work
- Ability to collaborate across multiple departments
- Hourly pay range of $45 - $50 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. This is a 3 month interim contract opportunity with a hybrid work arrangement based in Surrey, BC.
