What is the opportunity?
As the Product Risk and Governance Specialist, you will partner with the Head of Product Risk & Governance, Asia for Investment Solutions and Products ("ISP") to maintain ISP quality standards and strengthen the risk framework.
What will you do?- Identify, analyze, and evaluate risks; develop recommendations to minimize exposure and monitor effectiveness.
- Conduct initial and ongoing product due diligence assessment across all asset classes.
- Manage product risk ratings for RBC Wealth Management Asia.
- Maintain data integrity for investment products.
- Support new product launches and rollouts.
- Enhance policies and manuals governing the Investment Solutions and Products organization.
- Ensure adherence to relevant compliance directives, KYC requirements, due diligence protocols, AML standards, and cross-border activity regulations.
- Prepare materials for the monthly Product Suitability Control Committee and other regular meetings.
- Review and perform Semi-Annual Assessments of Counter parties across all asset classes.
- Support the Business Development team regarding risk and quality matters on ISP Projects.
- Support the Execution Desk as a back up on Daily Activity.
- Degree or equivalent is required.
- 5+ years of experience.
- Appropriate Hong Kong licenses.
- Fluent in English & Cantonese, additional Asian dialects desirable.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Working knowledge of Bloomberg Trading, Communications and Analytics functions.
- Product and execution knowledge of all asset classes.
- Strong analytic capabilities to manage and solve diverse levels of complexity issues.
- BA, MBA, MA or MS or equivalent.
