Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Mortgage Underwriter to join their team in Surrey. With an emphasis on credit analysis and deal structuring, you will navigate complex files, including self-employed and credit-challenged applicants. The collaborative environment allows you to work closely with the Lead Broker and ensure exceptional client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze client applications and assess risk accurately

• Structure complex mortgage files to meet lender guidelines

• Prepare thorough submission notes and submit deals effectively

• Negotiate with lenders for better terms and conditions

• Review Mortgage Commitment for accuracy before presentation

Requirements:

• 5+ years of mortgage underwriting experience

• Strong understanding of GDS/TDS calculations

• Advanced knowledge of mortgage compliance regulations

• Experience with Expert, Finmo, or Velocity platforms

• Excellent communication skills for client advisory
