Westland Insurance Group Ltd is growing and has a new opportunity for a Benefits Specialist in Surrey, BC at our King George Hub office (hybrid).Are you passionate about creating a seamless and supportive employee experience through benefits and total rewards? We are looking for a career minded individual who is focused on continuously building their expertise in benefits administration, employee support, program optimization, and who is driven to make a meaningful impact on employee wellbeing, engagement, and retention across the organization.
Expected Compensation The expected hiring range for this role is $65,600 – $82,000, based on a 35-hour work week. Actual salary will depend on qualifications, experience, market conditions, and internal equity.

As a Benefits Specialist, you will act as a trusted advisor and key contributor to the execution, optimization, and ongoing evolution of Westland’s total rewards programs. This role plays a critical part in delivering a seamless, compliant, and employee-centric benefits experience while ensuring programs are effectively administered, aligned with organizational strategy, and support attraction, retention, and employee wellbeing. This role is accountable for ensuring accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement of benefits processes while proactively identifying and resolving issues that impact the employee experience.

Why we’ll love You:
* 5+ years of progressive experience in benefits administration, total rewards, or a related HR function
* Deep experience in benefits administration, with strong knowledge of compliance, governance, disability management, retirement and savings programs, including RRSP and 401(k) administration, in a multi-provincial environment
* Highly detail-oriented and analytical, with advanced Excel skills and a proven ability to manage data, audits, reconciliations, reporting, and HRIS systems like Dayforce accurate
* A professional and empathetic approach to employee support, with confidence handling complex inquiries and escalations while maintaining strong relationships with vendors and external partners
