Position: Recruiter / Talent Acquisition Partner - 14-Month Contract

Recruiter/Talent Acquisition Partner – Hybrid Schedule

This role follows a hybrid schedule with two required in‑office days each week and is a 14‑month contract.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with Hiring Managers, Business Leaders, and HR colleagues to meet overall business and talent goals.
  • Develop and execute macro (business‑wide, mid‑to‑long‑term) and micro (position‑by‑position, short‑term) talent acquisition strategies.
  • Educate and influence hiring managers and stakeholders to follow talent acquisition policies and practices, ensuring engaging candidate experiences.
  • Set expectations and communicate regularly with all stakeholders (hiring managers, business leaders, candidates, HR, vendors).
  • Identify, attract, and assess talent efficiently while maintaining excellent service levels to multiple hiring managers and candidates.
  • Collaborate with business leaders and HR on onboarding, employee experience, and retention.
  • Leverage data to influence and drive decision making.
  • Evaluate labor market conditions and industry intelligence, sharing insights with stakeholders.
  • Pursue continuous improvement and innovation in recruitment processes.
  • Ensure all recruitment activities comply with applicable employment law, human rights requirements, privacy regulations, and company policies.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism with candidate, employee, and business information.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization.
  • Light international travel to U.S. offices (~5%).
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of talent acquisition experience in a corporate setting.
  • 2+ years recruiting for Manufacturing Operations and Engineering talent (high mix/low‑to‑medium volume industrial manufacturers).
  • Knowledge of B.C. employment legislation and HR best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders throughout the end‑to‑end talent acquisition process.
  • Flexible, adaptable team player thriving in a collaborative, often changing environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, multi‑tasking, organizational, time‑management, follow‑up, and negotiating skills with strong attention to detail.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Experience in a high‑growth startup‑type environment and a mature, well‑established corporate environment.
  • Experience recruiting in highly engineered and specialized industrial manufacturing spaces; electrical distribution and control systems a plus.
  • 2+ years in a search firm/agency in a client and candidate management capacity is strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years of similar talent acquisition experience.
Compensation

Actual compensation will be determined based on internal equity and may vary based on geographic region, job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and other factors. Compensation Range: $40.00 - $60.00/hr CAD
