Position: Employment Specialist for HEAL Program
DIVERSE city is hiring an Employment Specialist in Surrey to support the HEAL program, assisting survivors of violence with job placement and career coaching. This full-time, temporary role involves both remote and in-person work.

As an Employment Specialist, your primary role will include providing social and economic integration support for individuals affected by trauma. You will conduct assessments and prepare clients for job search success through individualized counseling and resource management. Collaborating with community services, your contribution will facilitate workforce connections for clients seeking stable employment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Recruit clients through community agency partnerships

• Conduct client interviews and eligibility assessments

• Develop personalized employment strategies and identify barriers

• Facilitate workshops and job readiness sessions

• Manage case files and maintain client documentation

Requirements:

• Diploma in Human Resources or related field

• Minimum one year of relevant experience

• Knowledge of labor market trends and community resources

• Proficiency in English with strong communication skills

• Experience with social media for recruitment
