Westland Insurance Group Ltd. has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Advisor, Benefits & Disability Management to join our People & Performance team. This is a hybrid role based out of our Surrey, BC Head Office and is a 12-month maternity leave

Expected Compensation:
The expected hiring range for this role is $71,200 to $89,000 based on a 35-hour work week. Actual offered salary will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, as well as market conditions for the role, and internal equity

, you will serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, partnering with leaders, employees, vendors, and internal stakeholders to deliver competitive, compliant, and sustainable programs that support attraction, retention, engagement, and Westland's broader people strategy.

Why We’ll Love You
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in benefits administration, disability management, Total Rewards, human resources, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian benefits programs, disability management practices, employee leave programs, and Total Rewards principles
  • Experience supporting benefits renewals, benchmarking activities, vendor relationships, employee communications, and program improvement initiatives /li
  • Working knowledge of employment standards, privacy legislation, workers' compensation, accommodation requirements, human rights legislation, and other relevant regulatory requirements
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to review data, identify trends, and support practical recommendations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex benefits and disability-related information to a variety of audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion, empathy, and sound judgment
  • CPHR, CEBS, CCP, or a related professional designation is considered an asset

  • Support the administration, coordination, and continuous improvement of Westland's benefits, wellness, retirement, and disability management programs
