Articled Students to join our team. This is a full-timearticling role that offers hands-on experience across a broad practice, with supervision, mentorship, and structured opportunities to build practical skills.
You will assist counsel on a mix of solicitor and litigation matters, which may include corporate/commercial transactions, contract work, dispute resolution (including mediation/arbitration), immigration matters (including appeals-focused work), and wills/estates files.
What You’ll DoIn this role, you will support lawyers and the broader team by working under the supervision of your Principal, by:
- conducting legal research and drafting memoranda on a wide range of issues (business, litigation, immigration, and estate-related);
- learning, drafting, reviewing, and revising legal documents, including contracts and transaction documents (e.g., commercial agreements and corporate documentation);
- assisting with litigation files (including drafting pleadings/materials, organizing evidence, and preparing for hearings and trials);
- assisting with dispute resolution matters, including mediation and arbitration preparation;
- supporting immigration files, including appeals-oriented matters as required;
- supporting wills and estates files, including estate planning and probate/litigation-adjacent work as needed;
- attending court/tribunal proceedings and client meetings where appropriate, and participating in training and professional development.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- a J.D. or LL.B. (or equivalent);
- eligibility to enrol in the Law Society of British Columbia Admission Program by your articling start date;
- strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills;
- strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional, client-service mindset;
- strong organization and time management skills, including the ability to handle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- NCA candidates
(those who have completed NCA requirements), and - internationally trained lawyers from common-law jurisdictions, provided you will be eligible to enrol in the Law Society Admission Program by the start of articles (including, where applicable, holding an NCA Certificate of Qualification).
Familiarity with legal research platforms such as Westlaw, Lexis Nexis, and CanLII is expected, along with strong overall technological proficiency. Candidates should be comfortable using modern legal software, document systems, and productivity tools to conduct efficient research and support file management.
Language SkillsFluency in English is required. Additional language skills are considered an asset (e.g., Persian/Farsi, Korean, Mandarin, Spanish, or other languages), but are not required.
