Adecco is currently hiring a  Track Supervisor  for a full-time opportunity with a leading rail infrastructure organization. This role is ideal for an experienced rail operations professional who enjoys field leadership, hands-on track maintenance oversight, and ensuring safe and efficient railway infrastructure performance across a designated territory.

In this position, you will manage track inspection and repair operations, supervise field crews, ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and support the delivery of engineering work within a high-responsibility rail environment.

Responsibilities

Manage engineering operations as outlined in our clients' operating plan

Supervise a team of Assistant Track Supervisors responsible for rail inspection

Supervise and manage activities of track gangs, track inspectors, and hyrail operations

Enforce compliance with safe work procedures, Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) guidelines, policies and regulations

Lead teams by providing clear direction, coaching, and performance monitoring

Apply collective agreement and company policies, including investigations, corrective actions, and grievance responses

Ensure compliance with Transport Canada rules and regulations

Manage budgets and workforce productivity within policies and the Five Guiding Principles

Communicate track condition and daily production information to senior management for operational adjustments

Participate in derailment and service disruption response activities while coordinating with Transportation and Mechanical teams

Requirements

Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada

Safety compliance experience

Troubleshooting and problem-solving experience

Experience in similar working conditions or regulatory/safety environments

Budget management experience

Labour relations experience (collective agreement interpretation, grievances, discipline, union interaction)
* Experience as an Assistant Track Supervisor and in construction program supervision

Experience supervising a unionized workforce

Education/Certification/Designation

High School Diploma

Post-Secondary Diploma
* Valid driver's license

Completion of required courses and training for inspection and railroad operations

* Any knowledge for the above would be considered as an asset

Technical Skills/Knowledge

General Microsoft Office computer skills
* Experience conducting accident investigations

Working Conditions

Combination of office and outdoor field environments in all weather conditions

Irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays

Frequent travel (50%+) with little advance notice

Must be able to respond to emergencies and unexpected service disruptions

Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs

Role requires strong stress management and ability to meet tight deadlines

Position may require relocation depending on operational needs
