Responsibilities
Act as the key point leader and day-to-day champion for quality excellence in the Area
Promote a culture of quality through biweekly Operations meetings, Area-wide presentations, project team meetings, site walk-throughs, and other ongoing ad-hoc interactions and meetings throughout Area
Develop and maintain an appropriate team structure for full-time quality management personnel to service individual sectors and specific client requirements
Develop quality management narratives for proposal submissions, including approaches for quality staff resourcing
Contribute to project bidding process and identification of key quality assurance and quality control personnel to suit specific job challenges and risks
Help facilitate the execution of quality management activities, including ongoing communication with key subcontractors on mechanisms for effective quality management and associated benefits
Connect project teams with available resources in Corporate support such as Construction Sciences and Enterprise Intelligence
Promote Best Practices, Lessons Learned, Tools and Templates and hold project teams accountable for ongoing implementation
In partnership with the Corporate QA Department and Construction Sciences, develop practical training materials and workshops to resolve gaps in the implementation of effective quality management
Continuously improve quality management system, tools, and templates to adapt to changing needs and client requirements across all projects
Conduct project quality audits and hold project teams accountable for execution of audit action plans
Qualifications
Architectural and/or Engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training in addition to a minimum of 10 years of field experience in construction
Ability to champion and lead the effective implementation of operational best practices, risk management, and quality improvement initiatives across all building types and throughout all sectors
Working knowledge of pertinent regulations, codes, and specifications related to the construction industry
Strong interpersonal, team leadership, and relationship building skills
Strong negotiation skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Self-directed, motivated team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Professional Engineering or Architecture License is an asset
The salary range for this position is $125,000 - $140,000
