Supervisor Laboratory Operations

Drive excellence in laboratory operations at Life Labs as a Supervisor in Surrey, BC. Focus on optimizing safety, quality, and service delivery while leading a dedicated team under a 12-month contract.

You will oversee operations at the Surrey Reference Laboratory (CCB), ensuring compliance and effective management of daily tasks. Strong leadership skills and a collaborative approach are essential as you handle hiring, training, and performance management for your employees. With more than 6 years of relevant experience, you’ll lead initiatives for quality and safety across the laboratory.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise hiring, onboarding, and staff training

• Oversee performance management and corrective actions

• Develop employee schedules to align with needs

• Promote safety and quality improvements

• Participate in local leadership communications

Requirements:

• Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology required

• Minimum 6 years of laboratory experience

• Registration with CMLTO or CSMLS

• Previous supervisory experience preferred

• Familiarity with Microbiology and Urinalysis a plus
