About the Role

The Principal Contracts Management, reporting to the Superintendent – Contracts & Procurement, leads procurement and contract management activities across RLO Projects and key mining operations contracts. This role is responsible for developing and executing sourcing and contracting strategies, overseeing contract performance and governance, and ensuring contracts deliver safe, sustainable, and value-for-money outcomes. Through strong commercial leadership and stakeholder collaboration, the role supports the successful delivery of projects and operational objectives while upholding the organization’s values of safety, excellence, accountability, and respect.

This position will be a Hybrid position where visits to site in Red Lake, Ontario will be required. The schedule is 5 days on/ 2 days off/ 4 days on/ 3 days off - 9.5 hour shifts. Key Result Areas include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead contract management and administration for major mining operations contracts, ensuring strong governance, compliance, performance monitoring, and value-for-money outcomes.
  • Partner with operational and project stakeholders to develop and implement effective sourcing, procurement, and contract strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Manage end-to-end procurement activities, including sourcing, tendering, supplier engagement, evaluation, negotiation, contract award, and implementation.
  • Monitor contractor and supplier performance, drive continuous improvement, and support effective management of commercial risks, variations, claims, and disputes.
  • Maintain robust contract documentation, reporting, and audit readiness while ensuring compliance with procurement and contract management frameworks.
  • Provide expert commercial, procurement, and contract management advice to support informed decision-making across projects and operations.
  • Foster strong supplier and stakeholder relationships to support safe, sustainable, and successful project delivery and mining operations.
  • Champion continuous improvement and uphold company values of safety, excellence, accountability, and respect in all procurement and contract management activities.
About you

As the Principal Contracts Management, you will have a post-secondary education in a relevant discipline, with a CSCMP designation or equivalent preferred. Mining industry or technical background is considered an asset.
