About This OpportunityNature Kids Club Leaders are the heart of our organization. They are the ones who create and deliver our programming, and we truly could not exist without their dedication and care. Across BC, more than 60 Nature Club Leaders generously contribute over 6,300 volunteer hours each year, bringing nature-based experiences to children and their families in communities throughout the province.
Working independently or alongside a co-leader, Nature Club Leaders organize and lead outdoor field trips called Explorer Days, designed to help children and families explore, learn, and build meaningful connections with nature. Leaders play an important role in educating and inspiring our youth members, often going above and beyond to create welcoming, engaging experiences.
As a Nature Club Leader, your primary responsibility is to plan and host Explorer Days. If you share our passion for connecting kids with nature, enjoy organizing activities, and are able to plan approximately eight Explorer Days per year, this role may be a great fit. We provide training, ongoing support, and liability insurance. This volunteer role is ideal for individuals who can commit to one year and are comfortable taking initiative with minimal support.
