This position focuses on creating a supportive environment for Black students at KPU through community-building and peer support. You will engage with student organizations, assist in event planning, and drive outreach efforts to connect students with essential resources. Knowledge of anti-Black racism and community engagement is essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as a visible peer advocate for Black students
• Nurture relationships with Black student organizations
• Connect students with campus services and resources
• Develop promotional materials for events and programs
• Support anti-racism initiatives and workshops
Requirements:
• Current student at KPU in good academic standing
• Studies in Political Science, Sociology, or related fields preferred
• Lived experience as Black or of African heritage
• Basic understanding of diversity and inclusion
• Proven communication skills and community engagement
Drive the mission of inclusion at KPU while strengthening Black student networks and experiences through this ambassador role.
