Join Métis Nation British Columbia as a Climate Action and Restoration Coordinator, focusing on ecological restoration and community engagement. Work in a hybrid model to lead transformative climate initiatives.
This full-time position in Surrey, BC, requires a proactive approach to developing climate action programs and ecological restoration projects. You will coordinate training for citizens and collaborate with local governments and educational partners to enhance community capacities in climate action. Your work will involve both field assessments and administrative responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support project development in environmental restoration
• Organize and conduct community engagement workshops
• Manage program logistics and documentation
• Collaborate with external partners and stakeholders
• Assist in financial tracking and contract administration
Requirements:
• Diploma in environmental science or related field
• Two years of relevant experience in climate programs
• Strong understanding of Indigenous community collaboration
• Proficiency in Office 365 and project management tools
• Available for travel and flexible scheduling
