The Anamosa Community School District is looking for a reliable, team-oriented Cook to help provide nutritious meals for our students at Strawberry Hill Elementary. This is a great opportunity to make a daily difference in our school community through high-quality food service.
What You'll Do- Culinary Execution: Participate in the preparation, cooking, baking, and serving of various menu items in quantity.
- Safety & Sanitation: Maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment that meets all health codes, including cleaning equipment and ensuring proper food storage.
- Inventory & Logistics: Assist with ordering food and supplies, establishing quantities, and maintaining accurate inventory.
- Record Keeping: Prepare production sheets, manage student food allergy documentation, and handle daily cash receipts and deposits.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull containers up to 50 pounds
. - Compliance: Adhere to all requirements from the Iowa Department of Education, USDA, and Iowa Health Department.
