Become a crucial member of Extendicare as a Dietary Aide focusing on meal service and kitchen support. This part-time role involves engaging with residents and enhancing their dining experience.
Your responsibilities will include serving meals, preparing various dining items, and ensuring the dining area is clean and welcoming. You'll also help train new dietary staff and uphold health standards in compliance with all relevant legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve meals with professionalism and care
• Assist with meal preparation and kitchen cleanliness
• Set up and clear dining tables for service
• Participate in quality improvement and training sessions
• Assist during special occasions and provide tray delivery
Requirements:
• Holder of Food Handler's Certificate
• Previous food service experience is an asset
• Enrollment in Food Service Worker Training Program required
• Customer service skills are essential
• Ability to lift hot, heavy items is necessary
