As an Outside Sales Representative you will sell products based on opportunity‑based sales, reach business targets through management of territories and visits to customer sites, develop profitable relationships and maintain a professional image of the company. Integrity, passion and in‑person presentation skills are essential.
Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain and foster relationships with current customers ensuring their needs are met.
Penetrate all targeted accounts and create sales growth within the client base.
Emphasize product features and benefits, quote prices and prepare sales orders or reports.
Build a referral network to generate new revenue opportunities for value‑added products.
Develop new customer accounts through cold calling if necessary.
Stay informed on new products and competitor activities.
Represent the company professionally at customer sites, trade shows and exhibitions.
Actively manage call schedule to cover territory efficiently.
Use sales‑management software to maximize sales efficiency.
Maintain accurate records including sales intel, expense forms and documentation.
Assist in creating request‑for‑proposal responses to potential clients.
Provide front‑line market assessment and advise company on findings.
Adhere to health and safety policies and promote safety awareness.
Maintain high standards of professional knowledge, ethics and practices toward all stakeholders.
Participate in quarterly inventory count.
Other responsibilities as assigned by the BC Region Sales Manager.
Job Profile / Qualifications
Building materials, construction or manufacturing sales experience preferred.
Prior knowledge of Bailey Products is advantageous.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to conduct presentations.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Working Conditions
Frequent travel, often several hours per day.
Availability for travel to conduct presentations.
Overtime as required.
