  • Scope of Position:

    Reporting to the Director of Business Development, the Industrial Project Sales Representative drives growth through strategic project sales and relationship management with key industrial customers. The role supports clients from early engagement to project completion, contributing to proposals and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver competitive solutions. Ideal candidates bring strong project leadership, strategic thinking, and a customer-first mindset.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate sales leads and establish strong, long-term relationships with current customers
  • Build and maintaining relationships with Key Decision makers.
  • Develop a sales strategy and respond to Requests for Quotes (RFQ).
  • Support the creation of strategic bid and proposal packages for large and complex projects, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and alignment with customer requirements
  • Partner directly with customers to understand project needs, timelines, and success drivers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (business development, sales, procurement, operations and leadership) to build a bid packaged and customer proposal
  • Order execution and management
  • Develop tailored, value-added solutions based on customer requirements
  • Spend approximately 20% of time visiting customers to strengthen engagement and support project success
  • Manage bid timelines effectively, ensuring all key deadlines are met.
  • Monitor sales pipeline and maintain accurate customer and project records
  • Represent the organization at trade shows, and industry events as required
  • Take on administrative responsibilities, project work, and budgeting analysis to support broader team efficiency and capacity for strategic initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Requirements
    :

  • Post-secondary education in Business or Sales and Marketing.
  • Travel to customer sites is required (approximately 20%)
  • Minimum 5-7 years of related experience, preferably experience in industrial sales, project sales, business development or account management within the electrical distribution or construction industry.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with decision-makers and drive complex sales cycles.
  • Technical knowledge of wire and cable products and applications an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strategic customer relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word) required.
  • Ability to travel within Western Canada as required.
