Overview
Brandt Tractor Ltd is currently seeking a Territory Manager - Mineral Technology for our Surrey Construction and Forestry location. The Territory Manager will specialize in the sale of Wirtgen Group Aggregate Equipment and other associated manufacturer's lines, creating, fostering, and growing customer relationships within the defined area of responsibility (AOR) with the goal of increasing sales and rental revenue of new and used whole goods.
The role requires extensive knowledge of potential users of Wirtgen Group Aggregate Equipment, participation in purchasing and rental activities, and daily reporting on activity and transaction details. The TM will also identify additional business opportunities within the AOR that may be served by Brandt’s Parts & Service, sales of other Brandt products (e.g., on‑highway trucks & trailers, agricultural equipment, etc.).
You Will Be Responsible For
- New account creation and development.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
- Achieve sales targets set by the company.
- Continuously develop a comprehensive sales pipeline of immediate and future customer opportunities.
- Promote and sell all types of new and used whole goods assigned to the role.
- Promote rental and rental purchase of new and used whole goods.
- Understand and apply machine and company feature, advantage, benefit statements to drive sales success.
- Deliver continuous prospecting activity and develop new accounts.
- Keep current on product knowledge and industry competitive models.
- Actively participate in and promote Brandt during industry events as required.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and quotations.
- Submit lost sales reports on a timely basis. Lost sales reports must be filled out for all lost sales and submitted weekly to the manager.
- Sales industry experience and/or comprehensive knowledge of heavy equipment.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to build relationships and prospect new accounts.
- Ability to present and negotiate with potential customers.
- Highly motivated, ambitious, and energetic entrepreneurial outlook.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Proficient computer knowledge and skills, including Microsoft Office suite.
- Must be available to travel as needed; a recent driver's abstract and valid passport are required.
- Bilingual (English & French) is considered an asset.
