Position: Head Grower and Agronomist Role
Sky Acres is looking for a Head Grower and Agronomist in Surrey, BC to lead indoor farming innovation. This contract role offers the opportunity to optimize production for romaine, strawberries, and tomatoes.

You will play a critical role in managing the agronomy function, reporting to the CEO while fostering scientific approaches to crop growth. This hands-on position will require you to analyze growing conditions, implement pest management strategies, and document improvements to ensure the best practices are shared across the organization. Collaborate effectively with a team committed to sustainable agriculture practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of agronomy for indoor crops

• Create and validate protocols for pest management

• Perform detailed analysis using specialized tools

• Write and maintain comprehensive SOPs for crop care

• Enhance crop yield through informed management decisions

Requirements:

• Extensive experience in commercial crop production

• Degree in relevant agricultural field

• Strong understanding of crop physiology and pest management

• Proven ability to design and document agricultural trials

• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
