Job Overview
Smartwork Electrical is seeking a skilled and motivated Site Foreman to lead electrical construction projects from start to finish. This key leadership role is central to ensuring smooth on‑site operations, maintaining safety standards, and driving project success. We are looking for a professional with strong technical expertise, proven supervisory experience, and the ambition to grow into a Project Manager position within our expanding company.
Duties- Supervise all on‑site electrical activities and ensure work follows plans, schematics, and safety standards.
- Lead electrical crews with clear direction, mentorship, and strong leadership.
- Coordinate daily tasks with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients for efficient workflow.
- Conduct routine site inspections to ensure quality workmanship, project progress, and safety compliance.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Assist with basic project scheduling and planning to maintain project timelines.
- Support budgeting and cost control by tracking labor, materials, and changes in scope.
- Perform or oversee electrical testing and troubleshooting using tools such as ohmmeters.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, inspection records, and reports on site progress and issues.
- Ensure all work is completed to code, safely, and with high attention to detail.
- 5+ years of experience in electrical construction or supervision (commercial, residential, or industrial).
- Strong understanding of electrical installation practices, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Proven leadership ability with experience supervising electrical crews.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Knowledge of contract requirements, job site coordination, and typical construction sequences.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with teams, clients, and management.
- Proficiency with basic digital tools (email, photos, documentation apps) required.
- Hands‑on ability to troubleshoot electrical issues and ensure safe work practices.
