Location: Port Kells-BC (also needed in Winnipeg, Mississauga and Concord, Ont., Laval and Boucherville)
Pay: $42-48/hr
Hours: 2 pm – 10:30 pm Monday - Friday

In this position, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of truck and trailer equipment. This includes diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and completing preventative maintenance with a high level of independence and efficiency. You will also contribute to maintaining a safe, organized workspace while ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards.

, including manufacturer-supported programsTuition reimbursement for continued educationEmployee assistance program for additional supportCareer advancement opportunities within a large, stable organizationAccess to various employee discount programsKey responsibilities include:Completing preventative maintenance and repair work on trucks and trailersIdentifying and documenting warranty-related repairsInspecting critical systems such as brakes, steering, and suspension to ensure safe operationDiagnosing mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and testing equipmentPerforming repairs or replacements on components, including engines, transmissions, and differentialsConducting road tests when required to confirm proper operationUsing a variety of hand and power tools, as well as specialized diagnostic equipmentMaintaining accurate records of work completedSupporting additional shop projects as requiredQualifications for success in this role:5 years working with heavy-duty truck and trailer equipmentValid provincial certification (such as Red Seal or 310T)Valid driver’s license (Class 3 or D with air brake endorsement, or willingness to obtain within six months)Strong mechanical aptitude with experience using diagnostic tools, welding equipment, and standard shop toolsBasic computer skills for documentation and diagnosticsAbility to work in a shop environment that may not be climate-controlledExperience in diagnosing and repairing major components such as engines and transmissions, is highly valuedReliable attendance and a strong commitment to safety and qualityWillingness to travel locally for service calls or training when required
