Skilled Fiber Optic Splicer Required

Join our team in the County of Renfrew as a Fiber Optic Splicer, working Monday to Friday. This role focuses on fusion splicing and testing in diverse environments.

As a Fiber Optic Splicer, you'll be pivotal in executing tasks under the guidance of the Civil Construction Supervisor.

Your role involves splicing and testing fiber optic cables, troubleshooting network issues, and collaborating with customers to promote site safety and organization. Your technical skills are essential, ensuring high standards in this demanding position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Splice and test various fiber optic cable types

• Troubleshoot system problems for diverse customers

• Read system maps and splicing documentation

• Operate splicing and testing equipment effectively

• Document work accurately in Excel as required

Requirements:

• Certified Fiber Optic Technician or Specialist preferred

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience

• Valid Driver’s Licence needed

• Strong physical ability to lift and maneuver tools

• Experience working in various environmental conditions
