Appliance Service Technician Faculty Position

The Appliance Service Technician program at the Faculty of Trades and Technology seeks a Non-regular Instructor for short-term placements. This position will involve teaching students seeking Red Seal qualifications and potentially administering the BC Provincial Appliance Service Technician Gas Certificate. Duration of the contract may vary, leading to a regularized opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
• Instruct students in hands-on appliance repair techniques
• Guide learners through Red Seal qualification requirements
• Offer training for the BC Gas Certificate course
• Foster comprehension of appliance systems and industry practices
• Follow KFA Collective Agreement provisions throughout the contract
Requirements:
• Valid BC Certificate of Qualification or Interprovincial Red Seal
• BC Gas Certificate or equivalent qualification
• Minimum five years of relevant appliance experience
• Required background check
• Dedication to enhancing student learning and career readiness
Contribute significantly to the development of skilled technicians in the appliance repair industry.
