  • Assist with aerial cable installation, including placing fibre cables, multiports, spiderweb or PSP cables, and associated equipment.
  • Lash cable and multiports to strand using a lasher, ensuring all work meets applicable installation standards.
  • Install aerial hardware, including strand, anchors, bolts, and related pole-mounted equipment.
  • Assist with hanging strand and fibre cable using a boom truck and/or through pole-climbing activities, where trained, authorized, and required.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, work packages, and project specifications.
  • Determine cable lengths, complete pre-construction documentation, and obtain required reporting and signoffs.
  • Prepare, update, and submit redline drawings to accurately reflect completed work and field changes.
  • Maintain accurate cable footage records, production reports, daily work reports, timesheets, and other required project documentation.
  • Identify existing utilities and safely work around underground and overhead infrastructure.

  • When appropriately licensed, trained, and authorized, operate construction equipment required to complete assigned work.
  • Understand the safe operation and basic functionality of bucket trucks and related aerial equipment.
  • Clean, inspect, and maintain assigned company vehicles, tools, and equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional worksite.
