If you're experienced in restoration work and thrive on helping others get back on their feet, this role is for you. As a Lead Restoration Technician (Internally known as Restoration Technician III), you'll take the lead on-site, guiding projects from emergency response through cleanup and remediation with precision, safety, and care. Your expertise keeps projects on track and customers confident that their property is in the best hands.
ADAY IN THE LIFE OF A LEAD RESTORATION TECHNICIAN
As a Lead Restoration Technician, you're the go-to expert when things get messy. You'll assess damage, implement advanced water, mold, and asbestos remediation, and ensure that your crew and subcontractors follow proper procedures every step of the way. You'll set up and monitor drying, deodorization, and containment systems, ensuring everything runs smoothly and safely. From coordinating emergency response efforts to mentoring others in the field, you bring structure and confidence to every job.
Your technical skill, clear communication, and steady leadership help restore order for customers and partners when they need it most.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the restoration or emergency industry, preferably within the Emergency and Contents division
- Strong understanding of water remediation procedures consistent with the IICRC S-500 Standard
- Working knowledge of moisture reading instruments and other tools used for accurate assessment and reporting
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, mobile devices, and relevant applications
- Effective communication skills with coworkers, supervisors, and customers
- Strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving abilities with a focus on safety and quality
- College certification in Environmental Studies or Environmental Technician program, an asset
- Water Remediation Technician (WRT) certification
- Fire and Smoke Restoration Technician (FSRT) certification
- AMRT - Applied Microbial Remediation Technician certification, an asset
- Forklift certification, an asset
- Provincial Asbestos certification, preferred
- Valid driver's license and clean driving abstract
- Fit test and other safety certifications
- Includes participation in a rotating on-call schedule
- Ability to complete work activities that may involve material handling, lifting, climbing, and the use of personal protective equipment including respirators, safety footwear, and other required gear
