Are you an experienced Field Service Engineer looking for a new challenge? This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team in East Grinstead where you'll play a key role in maintaining and repairing diesel generators for both customer-owned equipment and a rental fleet. If you thrive in a hands‑on role with plenty of customer interaction and enjoy working collaboratively across departments, this could be the perfect position for you.

- Planned Maintenance & Servicing – Carry out routine servicing and maintenance on diesel generators across customer-owned and rental fleets.
- Repairs & Diagnostics – Diagnose faults and perform effective repairs to ensure minimal downtime and high customer satisfaction.
- Site Surveys – Conduct site surveys to determine service needs and maintenance requirements.
- On-Call Support – Participate in an on-call rota to provide support outside standard working hours.
- Health & Safety Compliance – Follow all Health & Safety policies and maintain clean, safe work environments, including company vehicles.
- Comply with ISO standards (ISO 9001, 45001, 14001, 50001) and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Diesel Fitting, or Plant Maintenance (City & Guilds, BTEC or similar).
- OR completion of an approved Mechanical/Electrical Engineering apprenticeship.
- Proven experience servicing and repairing generator sets (FG Wilson, Cummins or similar) essential.
- Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication abilities.
- Prior field service experience advantageous.
- Full driving licence.
- Strong customer focus with the ability to deliver efficient, high-quality service.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- ECS/CSCS or CCNSG competency card preferred (training available if needed).
