If you can’t fix it with a spanner and a bit of patience, you’re probably overthinking it.”

LCV Technician – Aldershot Area

£43,000 basic (£18.25ph) + Overtime at T1/2 + Bonus Scheme

Tired of jobs where you’re expected to rebuild a gearbox with nothing but a torch, a zip tie, and “good luck”? Fancy a role where the workload is sensible, the overtime is actually worth doing, and the tea breaks are still sacred? Read on.

We’re looking for a skilled LCV Technician to join a solid, no-nonsense workshop in the Aldershot area. The kind of place where the vans get fixed properly, the tools mostly stay where you left them, and nobody asks you to diagnose a fault with “just a quick listen.”

What’s in your toolbox (besides spanners)?

 * £18.25 per hour (£43,000 basic)

* Overtime paid at time and a half (because your time is actually worth something)

* 45-hour week (not 80… we checked)

* 1 in 4 Saturdays (8am–1pm – in and out before the weekend disappears)

* Group bonus scheme (extra cash for keeping things rolling, not just rolling around under vans)

The Job (a.k.a. turning broken things into working things)

You’ll be doing what you do best:

* Servicing and general maintenance on LCVs

* Repairs that don’t require a crystal ball or a sacrifice to the diagnostic gods

* Keeping vehicles road-ready without reinventing the wheel every time

This is solid general tech work – nothing too deep, nothing too “why is this wiring loom behaving like that?”

What we’re after

* Experience as an LCV / Vehicle / Commercial Technician

* Someone who knows their way around a ramp without treating it like a climbing wall

* MOT Class 7 Tester qualification would be handy (but not a deal breaker)

* A full UK driving licence (preferably with fewer warning lights on it than the vans you’ll fix)

Bonus points if you can

* Diagnose a fault without immediately blaming “gremlins”

* Find a 10mm socket on the first attempt (legend status)

* Make a coffee strong enough to restart a dead battery

Interested?

If you want a steady gig where the workload is fair, the pay is decent, and the overtime actually pays for something other than more headaches, we’d like to hear from you.
